Knowing the truth (the person Jesus Christ)
makes you free. It is not what you know as much as it is who
you know. Eve reached for knowledge outside of knowing Him
(relationship) and the heavens closed. It is relationship
knowledge of Jesus that sets you apart from a religious
world and it is this relationship knowledge that empowers
you with His continued abiding presence. Do you know Him in
relationship or just about Him (a revelation)? Is He a book
to you or a living, breathing Jesus that is your very life
content? When you hear his name does it cause your heart to
jump in anticipation? Who is He to you? Do you have your own
Jesus?
As I share my own Jesus with you I hope to
foster in you a fresh passion to know your own Jesus. Not a
Jesus your mother knew or your favorite person or preacher
knows, but your very own relationship with your very own
Jesus. It's not about a doctrine or a certain church or
affiliation. It hinges only on one thing and that is a true
face to face relationship with a living, breathing person
Jesus Christ. It is more than just knowing Him as Savior in
your initial salvation experience. It is bigger than just
knowing Him as your baptizer and experiencing tongues and
gifts in Pentecost. He invites all of us to the top of the
mountain or to the place of knowing Him in fullness, the
loving room. The invitation has gone out and the place of
wedded bliss is awaiting your reply. Do you have your own
Jesus?
Most of my time was caught up in seeking Him
and never really finding Him. I was on the right trail
because He was the right one to seek but I was never coming
to the relationship knowledge of Him. There was no
satisfaction in seeking; the satisfaction came when I found
Him. Always hearing about an intimate relationship with one
I could never find was hard thing to do. The seeking stopped
when I realized I was the place He had FOUND to dwell
continually. This is the place called Abiding. I am in Him
and He is in me. Where else is there to look for Him when we
are face to face. I have found the one my soul adores. Do
you have your own Jesus?
When I found out that I was married to Him and
He married me on the cross, that changed everything. He must
have known my old man was dead or He would have never
married me. I was a bride for a day but I am now the Lambfs
wife forever. I stopped living as though I was just promised
to Him someday and started living out of the union that was
ours to enjoy. If I am not married to Him now then how can I
have intimate relationship with one that I am only promised
to someday? As a result, everything that is birthed out of
that intimacy is then illegitimate. The womb of the morning
receives the seed of Christ and the evidence that I have
been with Him in a place of intimacy in face to face
relationship (the loving room) is the growth of His seed in
me. This is the time of His showing. Do you have your own
Jesus?
You were the reason Jesus came. Not to just die
for you because you were a sinner but just simply because He
loved you. If you said yes and I will to the wedding vows
then you know Him as Savior. Why stop there? Go all the way
with Him and experience Him in the fullness of the loving
room. That is not just a one time experience but a continual
daily encounter with Him face to face. Why sip when there is
a supper and why drink milk when meat is available? Heaven
is not the goal, Jesus is. If you said yes to Him Heaven is
secure for you, but here on earth there is a whole new realm
of Him yet to be explored. Do you have your own Jesus?
