The Secret Place Of The Stairs
I hit the wall It was the call
That beckoned me from the stairs. Come up here And you
will see What is greater just up these stairs. Could I
leave behind the comfort Of this familiar stair? This
tread I'm on Has served me well But I know there's
more than just one stair. With hope of something greater
I lifted up my hands And found the wall that was so tall
Became another stair. Obstacles that held me here
Became a tread instead That lifted me to higher heights
The purpose of the stairs. What can I see that was not
there As I stand on this brand new stair. Everything
is finished And nothing can compare To the place I
found Where His life abounds Here in the Secret Place
of the stairs.
So if you seem to hit the wall
Rejoice it's not a wall at all It's the place where
nothing can compare No lion no devil are found there
One will, one mind, one life you'll find It's the table
where you come to dine. His name His nature you now bear
Here at the secret place of the stairs
