Kelley Varner: My heart was so saddened to hear
the news that our dear friend and
Pastor, Dr. Kelley Varner passed
away Saturday evening at his home in Richlands, NC. Just the
thought of his going has brought us
all to a place of trust and knowing
that God has and will continue to
forever be in charge. I met
him in 1989 and when I heard him
preach it changed my life. I
can truly say I didn't understand a
word he said, but my spirit was so
gripped that the words he spoke
seared themselves into my heart.
Since that time I have come to know
God in dimensions I had never known
before. I know this is not the
end, but only the beginning of a
greater purpose. I would
like to share with you a song that
Dr. Kelley and I recorded
together....it was at one of his
summer conferences that he raised
the money for me to record my first
CD. This is my hope...though
he is dead, yet he speaks.
